Andalusia

Andalusia is a land far, the hottest region of the Iberian peninsula and passionate. For many defined as "the bridge between two continents, Europe and Africa, is also the meeting point of two seas, the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean. Thanks to this particular location, Andalusia has experienced the endless succession of different cultures, who came here in Europe over the centuries: that which earned her the title of "Gate of Europe". It is a deeply southern region, homeland of the white houses, the colorful flowers that cover the yards of the small villages perched like a live nativity scene, but also the fragrance of citrus and olive oil, the sound of flamenco. The main feature of Andalusia is a contradiction. Every corner of its territory is marked by diversity: the warm Guadalquivir valley, are flanked by the volcanic landscapes of the desert of Tabernas and the white peaks of Sierra Nevada. The Sierra Nevada is undoubtedly the queen of all the mountain peaks of the Spanish region, forms part of Bética, along with other majestic mountains, above 3,400 meters as the Mulhacén the highest in Spain, or Veleta. The extraordinary thing about this land is just the difference of landscapes that are followed in 40 km: from the Alpine snow-capped peaks, the landscape is arid and desert-like around all'Almerìa, an area of rare plants and parks are refuges for flamingos, to the hills of olive groves and coastal areas of the Costa del Sol with its beautiful coastline. The latter is characterized by long Atlantic coastline is Mediterranean and white sandy beaches that, especially in recent years, adapting itself perfectly the demanding tourist market, have become a favorite destination for residents and visitors from around the world. In contradiction of the landscape of Andalusia live more than 7 million inhabitants living in different natural environments that the region offers. A large proportion live in cities, the 8 provincial capital Almeria, Cadiz, Cordoba, Granada, Huelva, Jaen, Malaga and Seville, and Jerez de la Frontera, another part of the population instead prefers medium-sized countries, and also small mountain villages, farms and isolated farms. This whole combination of contrasting points of sea and countries rich in history and tradition, have always been a strong attraction for tourists but also for artists who have found in Al fascinating source of inspiration.
